VDEC provides LOD-Based BIM Modeling Services from LOD 100 through LOD 500, helping AEC teams develop BIM models that match the project's design stage, information requirements, coordination needs, and construction objectives.
Rather than creating unnecessary detail too early, we develop models progressively—adding the right level of geometry, information, accuracy, and development as the project moves from concept to construction and handover.

05. Coordination & Development

As the project progresses, models are updated from one development stage to the next while incorporating approved design changes and coordination requirements.


06. Construction & Installation Support

For LOD 350–400 requirements, we support clash detection, constructability reviews, shop drawings, fabrication information, and installation planning.


07. As-Built & Handover

For LOD 500, we incorporate verified site information and approved construction records to create a reliable digital representation of the completed asset.


05 — Software & Technology

VDEC Approach

VDEC developed the project's BIM models progressively as design information became available.


The initial models were developed to LOD 300 for detailed design and multidisciplinary coordination. As the project moved toward construction, selected elements were developed to LOD 350to support interface coordination and constructability.


For construction and installation requirements, specific systems were further developed toward LOD 400, providing the additional detail required for shop drawings, fabrication, and installation planning.


Outcome

The progressive BIM development approach provided the project team with the appropriate level of information at each stage, improving coordination, reducing unnecessary modeling effort, and supporting the transition from design to construction.
