VDEC Approach
The client appointed a specialist reality-capture provider to complete the on-site laser scanning and provide a registered point cloud of the facility.
VDEC then reviewed the client-provided data and developed an existing-condition BIM model covering the agreed architectural, structural, and visible MEPF elements.
The project included complex service corridors, plant rooms, shafts, ceiling spaces, and areas with multiple existing building modifications.
Our BIM team used the point cloud as the primary reference for modeling the agreed scope and developed a coordinated digital environment for the project team.
The completed model was reviewed against the available point-cloud data and delivered with supporting drawings and model information.
Outcome
The project team received an intelligent and coordinated existing-condition BIM model, allowing architects and engineers to better understand the available building conditions and coordinate proposed renovation work.
